Douglas Mitchell, M.A.M., CPA, CAE
Doug Mitchell is the managing member of CFO Source LLC. He has more than 20 years of experience as chief financial officer, controller, director of finance and director of operations for organizations with budgets ranging from $250,000 to more than $20 million. In addition, for six years he taught college and graduate school courses in association management and financial management. Doug received a bachelor of sciences degree from Louisiana State University and a master's degree from the George Washington University. Doug is a CPA and a certified association executive (CAE). He has been active in several professional organizations including the American Institute and Greater Washington Society of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA and GWSCPA), the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA), the Association for Financial Professionals (AFP), the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), and the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). His community service has included vice president and treasurer of Literacy Volunteers of the National Capital Area, board member of the then D.C. Hotline and four terms as an advisory neighborhood commissioner — an elected position in the District of Columbia.
